Knopfler goes to India.. Mark Knopfler redux. Knopfler scores again, on the Shangri-La tour Moksha and Parikrama Harris goes to Muserock again to attain a musical salvation with Moksha and Parikrama

Harris reminisces about the good times he has had cheering his favorite rock stars in the front rows or backstage, and oh, of course.. in the “nose-bleed” sections J

“Which was the first real concert I attended? I don’t really remember. Most probably one of Yesudas. Since my school days I have been an avid concert goer, almost exclusively the local malayalam hindi orchestra programs. I have enjoyed most of them. Have come back home and hummed away the numbers that stuck a chord. Have attended plenty of “Mappilappattu” concerts too.

Probably the very first western music program (during my school days it was never called a rock show!), I attended was in the Malabar Christian College, where I saw Srinath Girish, Dasappa, Pramod Reynolds, Vinod Hutton etc sing away to glory capturing male and female hearts alike.

Then came Zeus, Axewagon, Sajith Mathew and his Halley’s Disciples, Third Eye and a host of other bands from Calicut. But I must say that it was probably Sajith Mathew and his Halley’s Disciples that first had me clapping my hands and bobbing my head.

Then of course, came 13AD and my friendship with them. You can find the details of that elsewhere on this site. Then all the bands that I have done shows with, Shiva, Indus Creed, Usha Uthup, Yesudas, Krosswindz, Stone Cold, Evergreen, Buddha Blown, Dr.Shakeel, Umbayee, Asthra etc which are also extensively mentioned elsewhere on this site.

Apart from that I count myself lucky that I have managed to attend many, many concerts by artistes and bands, Indian and international, rock as well as Indian classical.

Most of them were during a period that I never even dreamt of one day having a website of my own. So, sadly, there are no photographs and some of the memories are hazy and lacking in finer details”
