Making music as and when you want to – that is a dream for many amateur musicians like us. Some of us are into Karaoke music also. Most of these backing tracks are now available online too. Backing tracks  are available for guitar players also. So all you need is a decent PC and software that can put your music together and mix it up to sound like the original…well… almost like the original. Let me share with you my experiences in setting up a home studio. There was no other area at home where I could put up this studio. So I added this feature to my PC in my bedroom. One can’t really call it a quiet room as my son is just one year old and my wife’s favorite shows on TV usually coincide with my recording sessions!! Full Article

13AD TO REUNITE

13AD, the legendary Indian Rock Band, up there among the best in India, and hailing from Cochin are all set to reunite.
The band will have the same line-up as their last, with George Peter on vocals, Eloy Issac on lead and rhythm guitar, Paul KJ on bass guitar, Pinson Correa on drums and Jackson Aruja on Keys. They have completed 6-7 songs and are in the workshop of a brand new album.
The album will be bilingual, with a few songs in Hindi. it will be recorded at AR Rahman's studio in Chennai with Sridhar manning the controls. The Hindi lyrics are being written by Mehboob.
They plan to play lots of gigs before and after the release of the album. Watch this space for more details in future. Contact making waves for concert bookings.

Buddha Blown was formed way back in the 90' with Sanjeev Thomas on guitars and vocals and sometimes drums, Ashok Cherian on drums ......
Ever GreenThe Evergreen show took place on 30th August at Calicut at the Beach Hotel courtyard.

Indus Creed Indus Creed were real professionals. No wonder they were called the best band in India.
Asthra This is a young band from Calicut. Formed just a few years ago, they have already done a few shows in Cochin, Kasargode etc.

Krosswindz Hailing from Calcutta, these guys and gal are an extremely talented bunch. In their twenties.. the band is more than 10 years old!
Stone Cold . An out and out rock band, they had a few originals too.
