Mindless Love
By Dasappa
The red sleeve and blue jean caught my eye,
Her tender gait hid a girlish charm,
Every time she stood up and walked by,
My heart stopped, I was lost in a storm.
The first time I spoke, I couldn’t recognize my voice,
She just smiled her eyes said it all,
We got into the lift there was no noise,
My spirits rose high, in front of her I felt small.
“I need to send my love to you, whether you like it or not
You will have to live with it,
No, It’s not something I received you need to understand,
Its personal, you never want to talk about it,
Forwarded messages don’t convey the feelings of your heart”
She cut me off when I tried to get close,
She says she’s no one to me, she really doesn’t know,
She talks about it, laughs about it I’m sure,
Do I really mind, its mindless I am told,
Can you be close when you are afar?
Can the mind bridge distances, does the distance divide,
Is happiness selfish, can it tear you apart?
Is the rainbow real or is it a tug from your heart?
“I may not forward my love, you’ll be on my mind,
Memories comfort, you know not what its like,
I’ll live with it, wont shout about it,
I’ll look back and I’m sure to be happy about it…
I may not forward my love, you’ll always be on my mind….” |
