Each day, an estimated 6,200 children die globally from causes related to undernutrition. Worse, rising food costs and shortages threaten to increase that number.
Through our partnership with Feed My Starving Children MobilePack at Lakeshore, you have an opportunity to help change that with your own two hands. When you pack meals this year, you'll make it possible for starving children to get the critical nutrition they need to survive and thrive.
What to expect
You'll join 600+ volunteers with a goal of packing 163,000 meals in less than 24 hours. No, that's not a typo! As you'll soon find out, filling thousands of bags with rice and vitamins at FMSC MobilePack is very efficient, and fun too!
Here's some helpful things to know:
Each packing session lasts for 2.5 hours
You'll be assigned to a team of 10
You'll have a specific role – prepping meal bags, scooping rice, sealing bags, etc.
The minimum age to pack is 5 years old. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult
